Haitian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act of 2026

This bill:

  • Requires DHS to grant adjustment of status to LPR for certain Haitian nationals who have been continuously present in the United States during the period beginning on June 26, 2024 along with their spouses and children;
  • Requires DHS to ensure Hatians with final orders of removal or in removal proceedings have a process to seek a stay;
  • Bars removal for Haitians with a pending application under this law; and
  • Requires DHS to grant employment authorization for Haitian applicants.
